I’ve created this website as a Parent Resource Hub to bridge the gap between what you child is learning in the classroom and how YOU can support them at home. 

The goal of these resources is to EMPOWER you to feel confident supporting your child’s reading journey so that they feel capable and proud of their reading this year and beyond! 

Within moments of meeting your child, you will immediately learn something about me.  And to be honest, it’s the most important thing about me. I’ve got kid magic!

And no…I’m not talking about pulling bunnies out of hats or making quarters appear from behind their ears. I’m talking about the kind of magic that can shift a child’s entire relationship to learning. ​​​

After a decade in the elementary classroom, in the summer of 2020, in a mask, at a coffee shop, with an email list the size of my most recent 2nd grade class - a little idea to support children’s learning during the early days of COVID began.

Enter: Next Step Education 🩷💛🩵

From 1 student to 100s...from teaching outdoors through New England winters (cue: …fire pits, hot tea, blankets and prayers for above 20 degrees)…from the GARAGE ACADEMY to my “mobile office” driving all over Massachusetts…to our physical space...it's been a journey!

Every day, I experience falling more and more in love with my work of helping children learn to read. THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD! 🥰
